Twitter is an amazing thing. I feel like twitter is so much more personal than Facebook, in the sense that people can respond to your tweets but unlike Facebook they can’t comment on them. In my personal experience/twitter account I use twitter to connect with my friends. Mostly my tweets are silly things that happen to me on the hill, or that just pop into my head. Comparing and contrasting the two twitter accounts on page 7, it seems as if Kristen and Jenny’s twitter accounts are really similar, they both are tweeting about work related stuff and personal stuff. Except Kristen has more tweets so it seems like she has been on twitter for longer. I want to point out the differences of the colors of the layout: Kristen has a blue – kind of less appealing to the eye – background but it is to the point. Jenny has a background that seems more appealing to the eye. It is green and cheerful. I myself don’t really look at people’s personal backgrounds because I am mostly on twitter on my phone (so I can’t see the web layout of their profile).  But comparing these to my own twitter profile I have my background as a quote and bright colors. I also want to talk about Harry Styles twitter account. Why do I want to do this? Because I am, unfortunately, one of the millions of females that are obsessed with One Direction. Looking at his profile you can see that he has a link to his website and a quote from himself, his background pictures of him looking out at the crowd from the stage. Think his profile is visually appealing because it shows what he is – a performer – but I think he relates to his viewers by seeming like a normal guy especially with the way he tweets.

Tweeting, to me, is way to keep in touch with the news and what is going on around the world. The way that media is evolving is almost scary. The way we reach for our cell phones and have to make sure they are on our persons at all times seems a little weird. I myself have fallen into this black hole of technology especially twitter. Why do people need to know what you are doing 24/7? I wonder this, when I wake up in the morning – I check my twitter before I go to bed, and then again when I wake up in the morning? It seems an obsessive on my part that I always need to be in constant communication with people.
